About the Instructor
Todd Isherwood has been sailing in and around Boston Harbor for over 35 years. He holds a 50-ton Masters Captain’s License with Auxiliary Sail and Tow Endorsements. Primarily educated in New England, Todd went to Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is a 14-year member of the USCG Auxiliary and regularly teaches safe boating courses. Most of his coastal cruising has been in New England from Maine to Cape Cod. His great escapes from the winter months are Florida’s west coast and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.

Todd was also an assistant lighthouse keeper at Boston Light for 10 years. He regularly visits his friend Dave, who owns Graves Light in Boston Harbor. He is currently restoring Annisquam Light in Gloucester, MA. He lives within walking distance from the sailing school in East Boston and has been married to his wife, Kristine for 27 years. The best place to find Todd on a typical summer day is fishing for Striped Bass in Boston Harbor.
